Temple of The Ancient One

Submission for: Pixel Game Jam - 2024

Cursed by a primordial god of water, you must delve into its temple, explore its 99 depths, and find its relic to cure yourself in this retro style dungeon-crawler inspired by World of Horror! The game involves a whole lot of dice rolling and RPG stats using a turn-based combat system.

How to play:

Explore by pressing the arrow buttons on the bottom. You may encounter events that you must pass a skillcheck for, you may encounter an enemy, or you can safely get to the next depth level. Reach depth 99 and defeat the final boss to win. Though be careful, your curse will slowly raise and you will lose if it reaches 100%. The only way to reduce your curse is to fight enemies and win. You must also watch out for your sanity that can be used to cast hexes, but if it falls to 0, you will go insane.

You can rest to heal by pressing the campfire icon on the right. You can also check your inventory, character sheet, and your skills on the right. That's all!
